About behavist
A place where behavioural science meets everyday life.

Why behavist exists
Behavist was created from a simple belief: behavioural science shouldn't stay inside academic journals.
Every day, we make countless decisions—often without realising what shapes them. Behavioural science helps us understand why we think, feel and act the way we do, and how small changes in our environments can lead to meaningful change.
Our mission is to make research accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday life. We translate evidence into stories and practical insights that help people better understand themselves, others and the world around them.
Because understanding behaviour shouldn't be a privilege. It should be part of everyday life.

Meet the Founder
Behavist began with a simple question: Why do we do what we do?
Asli Sozdinler holds an MSc in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Koc University. Before founding behavist, she worked across strategy and corporate finance, where she became increasingly interested in the human side of decision-making.
Today, she writes about behavioural science for Dunyahali at Aposto, and volunteers with a climate-focused NGO, Yuvam Dunya. Through behavist, she translates research into engaging stories and practical insights that help people better understand themselves, others and the choices they make every day.
